Age 65, of Fairfield, CT, formerly of Bridgeville. Beloved husband of Patricia R. Gardner, father of Justin, grandfather of W. Colby and Elizabeth Gardner, brother of Mary Ellen Dale and Jody Ann Hayden.
At CV, James was valedictorian, senior class president and captain of the football and baseball teams. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1969 and went on to have various careers with Proctor & Gamble, Richardson Vicks and Westin Group. In 1998, he started his own firm, Gardner Associates. He had many interests and enjoyed time with his grandchildren, who called him Big Jim. Contributions were directed to Yale Cancer Center.
