About	Age 21, of Scott Twp. Malik and his father Mabruk were both killed in Libya by a mortar round that struck their vehicle. They went to Libya as freedom fighters to help their countrymen in their fight to rid the country of the dictator, Gadhafi. Malik was a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying chemical engineering. He had 2 brothers, Yaseen and Mohamed. Their mother is an American who converted to Islam. The boys were home-schooled within the cyber system, but also attended CV for sports and activities. Malik and his father were in a battle on the road that branches to Zawiya and Tripoli. The battle began at dawn and they achieved their objective when the mortar struck their vehicle. They were both buried in Libya shortly after their deaths. They would be pleased to know that they helped in their main objective of ending Gadhafi's regime, since he was killed a few months later.
