Age 16, of Collier Twp. Beloved daughter of Harold & Marie (Souders) Pierce. Beloved girlfriend of the late Robert E. Davis, Jr. Cheryl is buried at Chartiers Cemetery. Robert is buried in the Veteran's section of Holy Souls Cemetery.

Cheryl, her boyfriend, Robert Davis, and friend, Norman Heasley all perished in a horrible accident at a railroad crossing in Carnegie. Norman, the driver, was slowly crossing the tracks and did not see the train and the car was hit. Cheryl had just started work as a nurse's aide at Kane Hospital, Davis had just completed 2 years in the US Navy and had started working at Woodville State Hospital.
This very dangerous railroad crossing has been closed since this terrible loss of life. Another Carnegie man died in the same place just 2 weeks before this accident.
Rest in peace, Cheryl, Robert and Norman. All died too young.
