George was a Marine LCPL when he died from sniper fire in Vietnam in the province of Quang Nam. He was just 19 years old. He was from Bridgeville, PA. On the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. his name can be found on Panel 2E, Row 48.
George was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Louise Verdinek and brother of Mary Louise Bombassaro and Joseph, Robert and the late James Verdinek.
