Chuck died in 2004 at age 52 from complications of diabetes. He was married to Marguerite Kocaya and had 3 daughters, Amanda, Katie and Missy. He was the beloved brother of Jack Zanie and the late Carrie Zanie Hessong and son of the late Al and Loretta Zanie.
