| About | William “Bill” Edward Rennie, 71, of Port Orange, Florida, formerly of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on January 9, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Chartiers Valley in 1972 and he dedicated 38 years of his life to US Air/American Airlines, building a career marked by dedication. Bill cherished his family above all else. He was a beloved son of the late William and Violet Rennie. He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Rennie; their children, William Rennie (Danielle), Melissa Sprankle (Sean); and his beloved grandchildren, Allison, Tanner, and Liam, who brought him endless joy. He is survived by his former wife, Debbie Rennie, and their son, Jamie Rennie. He is also survived by his brother, sisters and many dear friends. A man of many passions, anyone who knew Bill knows he loved the beach, hunting at the family farm, fishing, playing softball—particularly pitching—and bowling, where he even achieved a perfect game. Above all, nothing compared to the time he spent with his grandchildren. After his retirement, if he wasn’t at camp, he enjoyed the warm Florida sunshine with Kathy. His humor and unwavering friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held in Pittsburgh, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Glioblastoma Foundation. |

He will be dearly missed, we grew up together, stayed at each other’s homes over night, dragged race together wrecked his car on 79 at 2:30 in the morning when he fell asleep, so many memories. I am so heartbroken We talked about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the last days and knowing his home in heaven was ready to move in, But knowing Slim he will probably stay with his mom and dad !!! Romans 8:18 I consider that the sufferings of this life are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, Jesus paid for it all at the Cross!!! From Lou Tournay
