On Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was a loving husband and father, also well-meaning butcher of the German language. He never met a person he wouldn't drop everything and help out and was never found without a blindingly bright flashlight, his pocket-machete, and a handful of peppermints in his pocket. The man brewed a cup of coffee so strong it would beat lesser brews into submission. Lou is survived by his wife, Sharon Welte, two daughters, two grandchildren, and three grand-dogs, ever missed by his four siblings, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. He was taken from us far too soon and we hope in the next life he always has a project to obsess over, a machine to fix, and his favorite snacks when it's break time or he WILL spend all eternity fidgeting.
