About	John J. Loniero, 67, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully at home on 9-27-2025, surrounded by his beloved wife of 31 years, Barbara (Rodgers), daughter Lia and son Nick (Kaylee). John was born on January 6, 1958, to Eugene and Joan Loniero. John was a man of strength, deep love and unwavering dedication and loyalty to his family and friends. John’s family was the pride and joy of his life. He was a devoted husband and a loving father who lived in service to the well-being and happiness of his loved ones. John worked for over 27 years at Comcast—where he met the love of his life, Barbara. He grew up in a close-knit family alongside his five siblings, Jim (Amanda), Anita (Jim), Lisa, Maria and Marc. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, including his mother-in-law Clara Rodgers, brother-in-law Bill Rodgers (Jan) and sisters-in-law Bonnie Rodgers (Dean) and Peggy Rodgers. John fought his illness for more than 17 years, with courage, dignity, and resilience till the very end. All while keeping his sense of humor that so many loved. A man of quiet strength and deep conviction, John valued friends, and above all, family. He took pride in the life he built and in the people he shared it with. Whether at work or at home, John lived with purpose and led by example. To his family, he was a rock—steadfast, protective, and full of heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a life rooted in family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Joan Loniero, Father-in-law William Rodgers and Brother-in-law Robert Rodgers. In addition to Barbara, Lia, Nick, Kaylee and his siblings, John is survived by his nephews; Adam and Andrew Hastings, Grant and Maxwell Loniero and Jesse Rodgers and nieces; Vanessa Rodgers and Emma Doncaster. Events	. Family and friends will be received at Herrick Compassionate Funeral Service, 951 Cliff Mine Rd., Imperial, PA 15126 on Wednesday 6 pm-8 pm and Thursday 2 pm-4 pm and 6 pm-8 pm. Mass will be on Friday at 10 am at St. Isidore The Farmer Parish at Columbkille Church, 103 Church Rd., Imperial, PA 15126.
