About | Joseph Kenneth Driscoll, Jr., age 75, of Carnegie, PA, passed away at his home on Thursday night, June 19, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Barbara (Shay) Driscoll and Joseph Kenneth Driscoll, Sr. Joe was the eldest of three brothers and was preceded in death by both William A. Driscoll and Patrick Driscoll. Joe was truly one of a kind — a man known for his big heart for people in need, his colorful stories, and his striking eyes — one brown and one blue. A gifted contractor and carpenter, Joe could do it all: building houses, roofing, painting, and everything in between. He spent decades pouring his skill and strength into his work before retiring nearly ten years ago due to a work-related eye injury. He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, hard work, and pride in a job well done. He will be remembered not only for his skill, but also for his quick wit and the unmistakable sparkle in his eye whenever he spoke about life itself. Joe brought laughter, wisdom, and a special presence to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Joe was a devoted husband to the late Kathleen Claire (McCool) Driscoll, and a proud father to his three children: Joseph Kenneth Driscoll III, Jayson Joseph Driscoll, and Kerri (McCool) Sorbera. He was also a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Katie L. (Whitaker) Morris, Kyle J. Whitaker, Steven D. Sorbera, Zachary Driscoll, Nathanial Driscoll, Hailey Driscoll, and Emily Driscoll. Joe has four nephews from his two brothers: William Driscoll,Jr, Nicholas Driscoll, Joshua Driscoll and Jeffery Aldridge. He has many other nieces and nephews through his marriage to Kathleen (McCool). He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. |
