Michael "Mike" Kenneth Kanai, age 77, of Gibsonia, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 (613 was his lucky number), at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, after battling the effects of mesothelioma for several years. Born on September 25, 1947, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Mike and Susan (Kostko) Kanai. He was the ultimate grandfather, attending as many soccer and hockey games as possible for his three grandchildren. Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Morphy Kanai; daughter, Renae (Stanley) Ulanowicz; grandchildren, Cassidy, Ty and Rylee; brother, Ronald (Denise) Kanai; sister-in-law, Autumn (the late Douglas) Dawes; sister-in-law, Carol (Fred) Schwarz; brother-in-law, James (Priscilla) Morphy.
