About	James J. Bowman, age 79, husband of 53 years to Cheryl (Schaaf) Bowman, passed away on Friday May 9th, 2025. Jim was born in Pearl River, NY and grew up in Bridgeville, PA with his parents, John and Florence. Jim’s family includes his children and their spouses, Joy and Chito Lim, Tim and Velva (Binotto) Bowman, and Beth & Matt Bonebrake; and 5 grandchildren: Camila, Sonia, James, Zoey, & Kylie. Jim graduated from Westminster College, and from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Jim worked as an attorney in a private family law practice in downtown Pittsburgh and Bridgeville, PA for 47 years. Jim was known for his dedication and love for family, friends, and his Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent his life living out his faith caring for others. Over the years he served in many ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. He was a talented musician who loved playing piano and organ, and also sang in a musical group at church. Jim also served on the boards of Ligonier Camp & Conference Center and Scripture Union.

He was one of the sweetest guys. In my home room.
