| About | (Written by Andrew's sister, Debbie Butler) It is with great sadness that I pass along the news that my brother Andrew J. Laubach, has passed into the next life on December 30, 2024, at his home in Puyallup, Washington, after a long battle with COPD and CHF. He was born on April 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia to James and Lois Laubach. The family moved to Pittsburgh in 1959 and Andy graduated from CV in 1973. He enrolled at the Ohio Institute of Technology and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Andy spent his career in the defense industry, working first for Singer/Link and later for Canadian Aviation Electronics, maintaining flight simulators for the Army and Air Force. In 2012, he suffered a stroke which caused him to take medical retirement. His hobbies included wooden ship building, photography and his beloved dogs, Mars and Lady. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Katherine Pfeifer, Class of 1969 and his brother David J. Laubach, Class of 1971. As he resided in Washington State and I am his remaining family member, there will be no service. He requested that his ashes be scattered along the Pacific Coast, his home for the past nearly 40 years. |
