| About | Sandra "Sandy" Suzette Rosko, aged 61, left this world on November 27, 2024, with the grace and dignity that characterized her beautiful life. Born on June 18, 1963, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Robert and Joan (Miller) Gibbons, Sandy grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of her caring family. Despite the sorrow of her passing, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the countless memories she leaves behind. Sandy never strayed far from her roots, and the city of Pittsburgh that cradled her childhood was the very place she drew her last breath, following complications from heart surgery. In her 61 years, she encapsulated the essence of selflessness, kindness, and intelligence—virtues that endeared her to the hearts of everyone she met. A proud graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County, Sandy obtained an Associate's Degree in Electronics, a field that sparked her remarkable intellect. However, it was her work in the mortgage and health care industries that showcased her admirable work ethic and passion for helping others. She began her career performing title work in the mortgage sector, and at the time of her passing, she was an integral part of the Blink Health team, providing much-needed patient support. The same fervor Sandra put into her career, she also invested in her personal life. Family meant the world to Sandy. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Gregory Rosko, with whom she built a legacy of love and mutual respect. Together they raised a family with their children, Daniel, Heather (Rosko) Zusinas, and Nicholas, all of whom inherited Sandy's honesty, determination, and compassion. Her siblings—sister Valerie (Gibbons) Yurchak, and brothers Mark and Joseph Gibbons, along with Mary Kathleen (Gibbons) Salerno—also share in the heartache of her loss, as they bid farewell to a sister whose life was as radiant as the smile she always carried. Beyond her career and family life, Sandy pursued her passions with zeal. An avid reader of crime novels, she was often transported to thrilling worlds of mystery and suspense. Her fascination with the paranormal reflected her open-mindedness and curiosity for the unexplained. Sandy's zest for life shone through in her love for travel, as she reveled in the excitement of exploring new cities. Music surged through her soul, and attending concerts was more than entertainment—it was a ritual that invoked her spirit of joy and freedom. Halloween was by far her favorite holiday, not just for the costumes and the candy, but because it symbolized Sandy's ability to find happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a gift for transforming the mundane into magical moments, a lesson in appreciation her family and friends will carry forever. Her love of Halloween was only equaled by her reverence and respect for her Irish and Celtic heritage. Proud of her Celtic roots, she was always one to promote St. Patrick's Day and was a mainstay at attending the Pittsburgh Irish Festival. As we bid farewell to Sandra Suzette Rosko, we reflect on a life that was as impactful as it was inspiring. We will remember her as the cornerstone of her family, one who left an indelible mark on the community she loved and served. Though she has departed from our sight, her light continues to resonate in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Sandy's unwavering spirit and boundless compassion will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She embodied the best of us, and we find comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on through the family she treasured, the friends she cherished, and the countless lives she touched. For Sandra Suzette Rosko, the journey has not ended—it has only transformed, leaving a trail of love and lasting memories in its wake. |
