About | The following message was composed by Dan (Debbie’s husband) Debbie Casey went to Heaven early in the morning of October 1st. As many of you were aware, Debbie was afflicted with RA since she was 32 years old. Despite that, Debbie quietly endured suffering and several surgeries on her joints. Debbie acquired friends across the world as she and Dan (with Chris at most of the cities) lived in Elmira, NY; Montgomery, NY; Munich, Germany; Plano, TX; Waterloo, Belgium; McKinney, TX; Rochester Hills, MI and lastly in Denver, CO, after growing up in Pittsburgh, PA. She leaves behind Dan and son, Chris. She was happy to have lived the past 5 years in Denver, where Chris also resides. Debbie very much appreciated the continual contact that her friends made with her. Most recently in Denver, she had many friends in her activities at the Fairway Villas (55+ community) clubhouse and pool and at Arise Church Denver. She and Dan were married for 45 years, having met in their last year of college in Pittsburgh. Debbie most recently suffered from several abdominal surgeries which eventually took its toll on her. Debbie was brave in her response and knew that she had reached the end of her time here on Earth. Debbie was able to spend quality time with Chris and Dan during her last hours. She was selfless and was more concerned about them than she was of herself. Debbie was at peace with her family and God. She knew that her suffering here is nothing compared to the joy that she is now experiencing in Heaven with Jesus and God’s Heavenly family. And that joy will go on through eternity! We feel bad for the suffering that Debbie experienced here, but we know that she is now pain free and worry free. We can celebrate her life which was well lived. We miss you Debbie, but rejoice that you now have a Heavenly home and are waiting for us to join you in eternity. |
