TIMOTHY BONGIORNI
Timothy “Tim” Bongiorni, 66, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 in a Florence Hospital. Tim was born in Pittsburgh, PA., the son of the late Dan and Lois Stabler Bongiorni. He served his country in the US Army. Tim worked with Florence Memorial Gardens for 30 years as groundskeeper and maintenance director. He will be missed by surviving family members, daughter, Mia Thurgood; son, Jonas Carter; brothers, Dante (Lynn) Bongiorni, Jimmy (Lela) Collins; sister, Paulette (Ray) Scott and his grandchildren, Ryleigh Carter and Evika Thurgood. His special cousins that he shared time with, Jill Hobbs and Ashley Hobbs. Tim made many friends during his work at Florence Memorial Gardens, David Brown, Brandon Bumgarner and Ken Carolina.
A funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Florence Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow the service.
