About	John Henry Campbell Sr. died early Friday morning, July 5, 2024, with his wife by his side. Cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was an avid hunter, master fisherman, and a fixer of all broken mechanical things. He was proud of his Scottish heritage. He was vice chairman of RCOO (Republican Committee of Oakdale), was on the Oakdale Council for a brief time - January to May, and unofficially involved in other political organizations. He graduated in 1980 from Chartiers Valley School District. He attended the Bible Chapel in Robinson. He worked 40 years as a telecommunications technician, or as he called it, the Telephone Demigod. John was a tough guy to the last breath. He wanted to show his children his strength and teach them how to be productive, independent, and reliable. He made it a priority in his final days to let his family know he was saved so they could rest in peace knowing they’d be reunited again in heaven. The disease was incurable, but he was stubborn, facing the pain to the bitter end with little outside help. Foolhardy or not, he died the way he lived, facing it head on and not backing away from the pain. He leaves behind his wife, Cindy Campbell, and three children, John H. Campbell Jr., Eric Michael Campbell, and Samantha Buchko (Husband Daniel Buchko), his mother Priscilla Dell (Husband Brian Dell), and his older sister, Sally Shollenberger. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford John Campbell.
