Doreen, of Florida, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, just 3 days before she would turn 62. Beloved mother of 2 sons, Josh Metcalf, and Jeffrey Metcalf, his wife Amanda; and grandmother to their son, Grayson. Daughter of James Zarin and the late Dorothy (Was) Zarin; and sister of Debbie, Diane and Donna; and many nieces and nephews. Doreen had been on kidney dialysis for 20 years and finally received a new kidney in 2021. In December she came down with an infection that could not be cured. Due to Doreen’s gift of life that she received, she graciously decided to donate her eyes to organ donation, and her body for scientific research.
