Gwendolyn Frances Walwender, age 76, of Monroeville, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born November 26, 1947, in Canonsburg, PA. to Richard Gastgeb and Frances Baselj. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond J. Walwender. Loving mother of Chris Walwender (Christine), Debbie Walwender and “2nd daughter” Joy; sister of Wayne (Martha) Gastgeb; also survived by her adopted grandchildren: Ryan, Joshua, Shawn, Abby, Ashley, Vivian, Jeremy, and Justin; and her best friend and partner in crime, Patty. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Karen Campbell. Gwen graduated from Chartiers Valley High School, where she had been the head majorette. She was an avid gardener, talented seamstress, quilter, and crafter. She volunteered at the Friends Thrift Store and Stockings for Soldiers.
