About	John “Jack” Alexander Chabala, Jr., age 75, of Avella, formerly of Bridgeville, on Friday, June 9, 2023, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Pittsburgh on June 1, 1948 to his beloved parents the late John and Julia Chabala. He was the loving husband of 31 years to Anna (Bulich) Chabala; devoted dad of Julia Rose (Tyler) Symanski, and Alex Chabala; and dear brother of the late Helen (the late Joe) Corba. Jack is also survived by his cherished grand-pup Zeus and loyal cat Machka, as well as a huge extended family and too many friends to name. He was truly blessed. Jack had an infectious laugh and a quick wit, and he always had a story to tell. He was naturally personable, friendly, and cheerful to all he met. To him, strangers were friends and friends were family, and he was known around town by his black pick-up truck. A true handyman, Jack could build and fix anything. Without blueprints, he constructed his family’s home in Avella and added a fully operational windmill and lighthouse, along with dozens of other projects over the years. After enlisting in the United States Air Force, he started his successful Chabala Electric business on his own from the ground up. With a heart of gold, Jack not only saw people with compassion and understanding but encouraged and believed in them, especially in his children, in whom he instilled his unwavering confidence. A diehard Steelers fan, Jack never missed watching a game—even when he would be out fishing, the game was playing on the radio.
