About	Age 74, of Bridgeville, was called to heaven on Friday, May 12, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was the son of the late Martin and June (Heinrendt) Maderic; beloved husband of 50 years to Kathleen “Kathie” (Capo) Maderic; loving father of Michael (Lisa) Maderic; adoring grandfather of Cooper Maderic and Michaela (fiancé, Evan Pilz) Maderic; caring brother of Gloria (Rich) Kuhns; dear brother-in-law of John and Barbara Capo, and Karen and Edward Very; devoted uncle of Brian Kuhns, Lucas Kuhns, Brianna (Ronnelle) Sharpley, Aubree Sharpley, Ronnelle Sharpley, Nova Sharpley, Stacey Kuhns, Mykenzie Kuhns, and Madelyn Nolte. Mike proudly served in the United States Army as a law clerk from 1967 to 1973, during which time he earned the National Defense Security Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He was a lifetime member of the Cuddy VFW Post 586, in addition to belonging to the Cecil American Legion Post 793. After his military service, Michael enjoyed a successful career as a sales manager of one of the largest furniture stores in the country. He very much enjoyed coaching local girls’ softball teams, and was an avid train enthusiast—collecting any and all train memorabilia. However, above all else his greatest love in life was his wife and family. Mickey, as he was known by his family, was a gentle giant. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
