Age 64, of Bridgeville, peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, March 13, 2023. Sue was the beloved wife and sweetheart for 37 years to Fred M. Chabala; best mom ever to her daughter Leslie Chabala; loving daughter of the late Herman and Rose Stricker; sister to Joyce Slaughter and her late husband Darrell and Tom Stricker; sister-in-law to Mary (Chabala) McBride and husband Dan and Beth (Chabala) Boyd; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sue’s early career upon attaining her B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh was as a systems engineer for IBM, followed by a calling to be a stay-at-home mom for most of her daughter’s childhood. She was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Church, sang in the choir and later worked as parish secretary. She loved camping, hiking, crafting and spending time with her family and pets. Interment will be in St. Barbara Cemetery.
