About	Joann M. Pierce, 54, in WCA Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. Beloved daughter of Ernest and Catherine Dunich Petrich. She served in the U.S. Air Force where she had graduated with honors from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Joann had previously been employed by McDonalds and S.M. Flickingers prior to her retirement in 1982 due to ill health. Joann was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the United Spinal Association and National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She lived for her love of music and attended over 500 concerts in her life time. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to any music venue. Joann loved and was loved by her family, friends, her beloved grandson Brason and her dogs Aero and Melissa. She will always be remembered for her ability to light up any room with her smile. She taught the world how to live, love and laugh even though she was physically limited by Multiple Sclerosis for the last 25 years. Surviving are her husband Richard J. Pierce, a son Thomas E. (Karen) Frederes, a grandson Brason Frederes, her mother Catherine Petrich and a brother Ernest (Sharon) Petrich Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers Eddie Petrich and an infant brother.
