About	John W. Tessaro, age 71, of Canton Twp, formerly of McDonald, passed on Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born July 23, 1950 in Pittsburgh; a son of the late Primo and Chelestina Ratti Tessaro. John was a 1969 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and then immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. He served from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Richard L. Page on the Antarctic Ocean. Mr. Tessaro worked as a cook for the Woodville State Hospital then Mayview State Hospital for over 36 years, where he retired in 2007. On January 2, 1982 he married Brenda Walker who survives. Surviving are two children, Jan (Kelly) McClelland of Canton Twp. and Andrew Tessaro of Ambridge; a sister Theresa Boothe of Canton Twp.; five grandchildren Erza, Troy, Brooke, Kelly Jr. and Declan McClelland; also surviving is a father in-law William Walker of McDonald, and a daughter-in-law Tina Tessaro of Ambridge. Deceased is a mother in-law Janet Walker.
