About	Richard W. Beyer “Chefie”, age 72, of York, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg. He was the loving husband of the late Brenda (Plaski) Beyer, who passed away in 2010. Richard was born in Pittsburgh PA on September 13, 1948 and was the son of the late Edward Beyer and Mary (Owen) Beyer. Richard worked as an Executive Chef. He made food from basic hamburgers to gourmet meals. He also had his own whole grain Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls with his patented recipe he made from scratch. He worked at various golf courses, ski resorts and restaurants. He was also a consultant for restaurants in management of food preparation, kitchen layout and design. He sold kitchen equipment and utensils such as Cutco Cutlery. During his off-time at home he enjoyed pet birds, relaxing in the swimming pool and hot tub, poker, vacationing in the islands and still cooking. He would make meals at home on his grill in the rain, sleet, snow or hail. His favorite thing to make was always a good steak and baked potatoes. He is survived by his sons Timothy W. Beyer and his wife Crystal and Gordon W. Beyer; his granddaughters Alyssa, Lindsey and Alayna and his grandson Corban. He is also survived by his brother Larry Beyer and his wife Cordell of Harrisburg; his sisters Donna Todd and her husband Ron of Pittsburgh, Kathy Beyer of McDonald, PA, Lori Wolfe of Hopewell, PA, Carol Pilotta of Finleyville, PA; his stepbrothers Bill Follmer and his wife Wendy of McDonald, PA, Jack Follmer of Carnegie, PA; his aunt, Jean Beyer of McDonald, PA and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
