About	Michael C. Hormel, 66, of Altoona, passed away on March 6, 2021, in UPMC, Altoona. Michael was born on July 23, 1954, in Oakdale, a son of the late Herbert L. and Shirley M. (Fichter) Hormel. Michael was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. He was also a member of Federal United Methodist Church and a retired engineering manager for Small Tube Products, where he worked for 15 years. He also has spent over 20 years working at Wolverine Tube, in Decatur, Alabama. When Michael was not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing billiards, and watching all of the Pittsburgh Steelers games. Michael enjoyed people, he loved to spend time with his buddy’s, but more importantly his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he looked forward to every moment spent with them. Surviving are his children; Anna (Matthew) Dobbel, Rachel (Caleb Rose) Hormel, Diane Dobbs, and Jason Hormel, grandchildren, Greyson and Kendall Kay Dobbel and Christian and Laney Dobbs, siblings, Lauretta (Randall) Reeves, Timothy (Barbara) Hormel and Thad Hormel, and step-mother, Audrey Hormel.
