James Robert Hoffman Sr., 65, of Lakeland, Fla., went to heaven Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021. He was born in Bridgeville on Nov. 7th, 1955, and attended Chartiers Valley High School in Collier Township. He is survived by his partner, Joanne; children, James, Justin, and Lindsay as well as his grandchildren, Domenic, Isabella, Noah, Alex, Launa, Grant and Preston. He worked at Neville Chemical Company, Lowe's, and Matthews International Corporation. His passions were camping, fishing and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a long-time member of the Beaver Valley Football Officials during his years in Pittsburgh, where he spent many Fridays and Saturdays refereeing youth sports.
