Norma Jean Coyle Frederick, age 72, of Carnegie, passed away peacefully, at her son's residence in Erie, on Saturday, September 5, 2020, following an extended illness. She was born in Pittsburgh on April 17, 1948, daughter of the late Norman E. and Jean E. (Dempster) Coyle. Norma was a 1966 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School. She was previously employed by the former Bell Telephone Co. in Pittsburgh for 30 years. Most recently, she served as a firefighter and EMT with the Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 126. Norma was a Civil War history buff; having visited Gettysburg several times. She also enjoyed painting, reading and cherished spending time with her grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Frederick in 2006. Survivors include her children, John J. Frederick (Kayla) and Jessica J. Morgan (Brian); one sister, Donna Ruppen (Norman); one brother, Pat Coyle; three grandsons: Liam, Owen and Ryan Frederick as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
