Ronald Burleigh attended Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, PA.

(“Scatman”) son of Eula and the late Earmey N. Burleigh, Jr., died on March 12, 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after an extended illness. He served in the U.S. armed forces with a tour of duty in Italy. He was awarded the Marksman commendation. Later, he married the former Pauline Daniley. He was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church, Carnegie, PA. He served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent, sang in the Silverleaf, men’s, senior, Young Men’s Christian Fellowship choirs and the Pittsburgh gospel Spiritual Leaders singers. He united in holy matrimony with the late Carol Coto. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad System, and later became a transport driver for Access Medical Services of Pittsburgh. .He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Burleigh, his father, Earmey N. Burleigh, Jr.; two brothers: Dwight and Lloyd Burleigh and grandson, Lawrence Simmons. Left to celebrate his life are: his mother, Eula Burleigh, Chillicothe,OH; his sister, Dr. Charlene Burleigh-Payne (Mal), Chillicothe, OH; seven children: four daughters Della Burleigh, Minister Stephenie (Durwood) Donnell, Sandra and Shelia Coto all of Pittsburgh, PA; three sons: Ronald Burleigh and Derrick Coto, and Mark Burleigh.
