About	Betty Warner Townes, 58 Betty Warner Townes, 58, died July 9, 1992, at her home in Cedar Springs. Funeral service was held Monday, July 13, at the Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home in Sparta. Burial was in East Nelson Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Mrs. Townes was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Clyde and Anna (Murphy) Warner, and they survive. She graduated from Charlevoix High School and attended Davenport Institute in Grand Rapids. She married Walter Townes in 1952 in Norwood and he survives. Mrs. Townes worked in management for 27 years with the Wolverine Worldwide Shoe Co. in Rockford. She is survived by her husband Walter; three daughters, Mrs. Mark (Catherine) Lester of Scotland, Ind., Mrs. Ray (Carla) Cogan of Cedar Springs, and Connie Townes of Grand Rapids; two sons, Charles and Clayton, both of Cedar Springs; 15 grandchildren; her parents, Clyde and Anna Warner of Charlevoix; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
