Funeral services for Bessie Zipp, 85, of Bay Shore will be held Monday at the Bay Shore First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Milton Walls will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Zipp died June 18 at Little Traverse Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals. The former Bessie Mae Tillotson was born Aug. 12, 1895 in Hayes Township. She attended Bay Shore and Charlevoix schools and was graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1913. in 1914, she married Arthur Zipp in Bay Shore and the couple resided there. Mr. Zipp preceded her in death in 1939 and Mrs. Zipp continued to make her home in Bay Shore. She was a member of the Bay Shore Presbyterian Church and had been active in the Women’s Guild. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Young of Petoskey, Mrs. Richard (Arthella) Duffus of Worth, Ill., Mrs. Edith Copping and Mrs. Bruce (Eilenne) Green, both of Bay Shore; two sons, Richard T. Zipp of Charlevoix and L.A. (Bud) Zipp of Bay Shore; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Harold A. Tillotson of Ludington.
