About	Funeral for Lyle Edmund Beattie, 53, a former resident of Charlevoix, was held Jan. 7 at the Bay View Wesleyan Church in Traverse City, the Rev. Philip W. Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Traverse City. Mr. Beattie, who lived at 1015 State st., Traverse City, died Jan. 4 at Munson Medical Center after a long illness. He was born March 15,1920, in Charlevoix County, the son of the late Clarence and Ruth Beattie. He was graduated from Charlevoix High School and attended the Lewis and Chapin Business School in Traverse City, where he has made his home for the past 33 years. In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Sandra) Tillotson of Manistee and Sheralyn Beattie of Traverse City; three brothers, Carl of Grand Blanc, Clare of Florida and Harold of Grand Rapids.
