al services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday from the See Funer- al home here for Judge Rollie L. Lewis, 64, Charlevoix probate judge who died Sunday after- noon at Little Traverse hospital in Petoskey.
The Rev. Jackson Turner will officiate and burial is to be in Brookside cemetery.
Born Aug. 2, 1884, in Charle- voix, he was graduated from the local high school and the Univer- sity of Michigan. He served as prosecuting attorney on different terms, and served as state legis- lator from 1920 to 1922. A form- er city attorney, he was elected probate judge in 1944, and re- elected in November of this year. In August 1943 he was appoint- ed to fill the unexpired term of the late Judge E. A. Reugsegger.
Active on the Charlevoix Re- publican committee, Judge Lew- is served as its chairman and was also a member of the California, Michigan and Americacn Bar As- sociations. He was appeal agent for the local draft board during World War II, and at the time of his death.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Ameri- can Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Knights of Pythias and a charter member of Kiwanis. He was married to the former Abby King 33 years ago.
