About	Constance M. "Connie" Pischner, 70, of Charlevoix, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at the Charlevoix Area Hospital. Rite of Christian Burial was at noon, Thursday, Sept. 18, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Charlevoix. The Reverend Jerry Hunko co-officiated with the Reverend Patrick Cawley. Burial was in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Charlevoix. Connie was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Charlevoix, to Francis M. "Frank" and Marian A. (Brown) Oleksy. She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1955, and became a Registered Nurse after graduating from Aquinas St. Mary's Nursing School in Grand Rapids. Connie married Roger John Pischner on Sept. 30, 1961. They made their home in Charlevoix where Connie worked as a registered nurse at the Charlevoix Area Hospital for over 33 years. Connie was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Charlevoix, and served as a Eucharist minister. Connie loved her children and adored her grandchildren, and spent her time with them playing cards, going to the beach and being with friends. Roger preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2000. Connie is survived by her children, Francis (Pam) Pischner of Naples, Fla., Michael (Amy Jo) Pischner of Charlevoix, Lisa (Steve) Kindt of Ossineke, Mich., Amy (Chris) Putman of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Natalee (Zach) Pischner-Riekelman, Lacee, Krista, Nicole, Kelsey, and Jonathon Pischner; Nathan, and Kimberly Kindt; Kourtney and Austin Putman; brother, Thomas (Evelyn) Oleksy; sister, Katherine (Ray) Abraczinskas; brother-in-law, Barry (Marylee) Pischner of Beaver Island and Grand Rapids. Connie's sister, Mary Therese, also preceded her in death. Contributions may be made to Saint Mary's School Angel Scholarship Fund for Tuition. Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix where the Rosary was recited at 8 p.m.
