| About | Tim was born in Petoskey, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Maureen (Brennan) LaBlance. He grew up in Charlevoix, and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1984. He earned a bachelor of science from Alma in 1988, and returned home to begin work at the First State Bank in Charlevoix with Lou Hollow. On June 18, 1988, he married Carrie Richardson in Charlevoix. Tim loved his town of Charlevoix, and dedicated much of his time to serving and helping others. He loved sports with his sons, coaching Little-League baseball, youth basketball, and was one of the founders of Pop Warner Football in Charlevoix. He also loved and enjoyed supporting his daughter, Jacie, and wife, Carrie, with their horseback riding and barrel racing. He also loved hunting and spending time in deer camp. Tim was a member of the Charlevoix Elks Club and the Antrim Dells Golf league. He attended the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church. A highly esteemed resident of Charlevoix, he passed away very unexpectedly, and is survived by his wife, Carrie Sue, of Charlevoix; sons, Nathan Rod of Highland, Keegan Thomas of Charlevoix; daughter, Jacie, of Charlevoix; mother, Maureen LaBlance, of Charlevoix; sister, Colleen (Cliff) Clark, of Chelsea; brothers, Patrick (Sandy) LaBlance of Belleville, Mark (Sarah) LaBlance of Chicago, Luke LaBlance of Charlevoix; mother- and father-in-law, Linda and Rod Richardson, of Norwood; brother-in-law, Corey Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and brother-in-law, Casey Richardson. A standing-room-only memorial service was held at Round Lake Education Center in Charlevoix with the Rev. Chris Wallace and the Rev. Michael Dennis officiating. |
