About	Jean Stowe, of East Jordan, passed away on February 27th while on vacation visiting her sister- in-law, Marge Brown in the Bradenton, FL area. Jean was born Jean Marion Allison on April 18th,1938, in Charlevoix, MI to Sadie and Alfred Allison and live in Maple Grove and attended and graduated from Charlevoix High School, and on July 6th of 1957 married Robert Stowe of Petoskey. Jean and Bob ran the Stowe family dairy farm on Atkins Road in Petoskey until 1967. They then sold the farm and purchased a 500 acre farm in Ironton where they farmed until 1978. They sold the majority of the farm and began temporary retirement. In the early 1980's, Jean and Bob purchased the Rainbow Bar in East Jordan which they ran for over 12 years. Jean was a bowler most of her adult years in Petoskey, Charlevoix and East Jordan. Jean was preceded in death by Robert this past August 2nd. Jean is survived by son James (Amy) Stowe of Macomb and Barb (Ralph Hines) Carpenter of Central Lake. Jean leaves 3 grandchildren, Alexis Carpenter, 21, of Central Lake, Bryson Stowe, 20, and Riley Stowe, 17, of Macomb. Jean also leaves behind her twin sister, Janet Harris of Boyne City, sister, Shirlene Tripp of Charlevoix and sister-in-law, Marge Brown of Gladwin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 12:00 Noon at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
