About | David B. Pease, age 67 of White Cloud and formerly of Jenison, passed away, April 30, 2009 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. David was born on February 18, 1942 in Charlevoix, Michigan to Allen Evart and Fern Avis (Black) Pease and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1960 where he was one of the star athletes in football and basketball during his 4 years in high school. He married Judith Ann and she preceded him in death. David had lived in the Jenison area for many years where he owned and operated Daves Auto Sales, a used automobile dealership for over 40 years until his retirement in 1997 and also was co-owner of G & B Autobody with his brother-in-law, George McWaters. David moved to the White Cloud area in 1982 from Jenison following his retirement. David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting in the Michigan outdoors as was known for his cooking abilities. David was a member of the White Cloud Eagles and the Grandville American Legion and served in the United States Army. He is survived by his sons, Troy Pease of Standale; Delward Pease of Orlando, Florida; his grandson, Casey Pease; sister, Angel (Jim) Bearss of Charlevoix; his companion for the last several years, Patricia Hughey of White Cloud; special nephews, Chuck and Jerry Pease; several cousins. David was preceded in death by his mother, Fern (Lewis) Taylor; father, Allen Pease; former wife, Judith Ann Pease; his sister and brother-in-law, Bonita Bonnie (George) McWaters; his brothers, Leon Pease and Evart Pease. Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11am at the White Cloud Eagles with military rites given by the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249.
