Thomas Robert Harrington, 84, of Fenton, died Monday, March 28, 2016. Thomas was born in Charlevoix, Michigan the son of the late Earl Thomas and Anne Gertrude (McDonald) Harrington. He graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1950. Thomas married Shirley Shannon on February 20, 1952 in Georgia. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. Thomas retired from GM, Buick Engineering Plant 78 with 37 years of service. Mr. Harrington enjoyed working on cars, fishing and wood working. Surviving are: wife, Shirley of Fenton; children, Gilbert (Kathleen) Harrington of Linden, Leisa Kaczmarczyk of Davison, Jeff (Mary) Harrington of Flushing, Lori (George) Stevenson of Fenton; grandsons, Jeffrey Harrington II of Rankin, Chris Harrington of Flushing; sister, Sally (Roy) Whitley of Petoskey, Michigan; brother, Richard Harrington of CA; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Regency of Grand Blanc and McLaren Hospice for their love and devotion.
