About	ohn Floyd Whitley, 62, of Charlevoix, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital. He was born April 22, 1953, in Charlevoix to James T. and Bessie Faye (Skeel) Whitley. John graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1973. On November 2, 1985, John married Cynthia Lynn Story in Charlevoix. John worked as a lineman for the City of Charlevoix electrical department. He retired in 2012, after working for the city for thirty-eight years. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons, Nick (Janell) Whitley, and Andrew (Kim) Whitley of Charlevoix; brothers and sisters, Jim Whitley, Ed (Cindy) Whitley, all of Charlevoix, Mary (Ed) Nachazel of Ellsworth, Faye (Larry) Fiendt, Kathy (Al) Lawson, Carl (Tammy) Whitley, Sally Whitley, Mike (Tina) Whitley all of Charlevoix. John was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Russell. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Sunday, March 6, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. Funeral will be 11am, Monday, March 7, 2016, at the funeral home. The Reverend Dan Gilmore of the Charlevoix Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.
