About | Barbara Ann Bellinger, 87, of Elk Rapids, was called home by her heavenly Father on Sept. 8, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Barbara was born on Dec. 24, 1928 to the late Gordon and Lottie (Ager) Todd in Charlevoix. She attended Charlevoix High School, graduating in 1947. On Sept. 10, 1947 Barbara married Donald R. Bellinger at the Charlevoix Congregational Church. Together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage before Don passed away in 2015. They settled in Elk Rapids in 1953. She was employed by Wanigan Corporation for six years and then worked 18 years for Fifth Third Bank until her retirement in 1984 as branch manager. Barb was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids, where she served as a Deacon. She was an avid golfer, bridge player and loved to crochet. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; and son-in-law, Vern White. She is survived by her daughters, Sara (Mike) Warner, of Wallace, and Judy (Mike) Husby, of Kewadin; sisters, Janet Williams, of Big Rapids, and Donnie McNeill, of Midvale, Utah; grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Shupp, Lisa (John) Hanmer, Christopher (Sarina) White, Amy White, Marie (Ben) Slater, Matt Husby, Mason Husby and Monica Husby; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Caitlin, Jaxon, Laurel, Morgan, Ashley, Aaron and Sadie. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Elk Rapids. The Rev. Tom Cook will officiate. Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
