Elizabeth J. Novotny, 69, of Charlevoix, died Aug. 1, 1988, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospitals.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thurs- day, Aug. 4, at the Winchester Funeral Home, Charlevoix. Pastor Bruce E. Hamilton of the Community Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix.
The former Elizabeth J. Ackert was born Aug. 26, 1918, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Morris and Evelyn (Marshall) Ackert. She was a 1938 graduate of Charlevoix High School.
In March 1947, she married James Novotny in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Novotny was a member of the Charlevoix Historical Society.
She is survived by: her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Evan (Barbara) Bassett of East Jordan and Janice Novotny of Charlevoix; three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the funeral home where friends may call after noon on Wednesday and meet the fam- ily from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
