Brandon L. Russell, 21, of Charlevoix passed away on March 31, 2018.

Brandon was born on June 25, 1996 in Charlevoix to Mary Kelly.

Brandon graduated from Charlevoix High School in 2015. He attended St. Mary Church for years. Brandon worked at Fox Motors in Charlevoix. He enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles and being with friends. He was a lover of all pets.

Brandon is survived by his mother, Mary (Kevin Potter) Kelly, brother, Ryan (Angel) Russell of Charlevoix, nephew, Samuel Russell, niece, Cameryn Russell, 3 aunts, Patricia (Don) Wells of Charlevoix, Brenda (Ted) Poelking of Florida, Beth (Richard) Belovesky, 2 uncles, Robert Newton of Florida and Michael (Stacey) Newton of Traverse City and David (Nancy) Russell of Charlevoix.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Fr. Peter Wigton officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Brandon Russell Memorial Fund.

Brandon's family would like to thank the community of Charlevoix for their prayers and support during this difficult time. In memory of Brandon and in appreciation for the amazing effort from Charlevoix's first responders, the family has started a fund to benefit Charlevoix EMS and Charlevoix Township Fire Department. The family would like to especially thank the Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police, and the Charlevoix Township Fire Department. Special thanks to Sheriff Chuck Vondra, Russ McCraney and Dan Thorp. Please make donations to the Brandon Russell Memorial Fund at Charlevoix State Bank.
