Post Office Clerk at Charlevoix Dies
Funeral service for Percy T. Durance, 50, general delivery clerk at the Charlevoix post office for the past 18 years who died at his home here Tuesday evening will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the See Funeral Home, The Rev. W. Wood will officiate and burial is to be in Brookside cemetery.
Born in Charlevoix on May 14, 1897, Mr. Durance had spent his entire life here with the exception of a short time away in the army during World War I.
Surviving are the widow, the former Doris Black, whom he wed on Sept. 29 1926, one daughter, Donna Ann; his father, Jones Durance, of Charlevoix, one brother, Ned, of Flint, and one sister, Mrs. Irving LaRue of Detroit.
