James Harvey, 88, of Charlevoix, Michigan, died January 12, 2018.
James was born October 31, 1929 in Charlevoix, Michigan, the son of Walter and Marion (Ecker) Harvey. He grew up in Charlevoix and attended Charlevoix High School.
On August 6, 1955, he married Janice Johnson at the Epsilon Church in Petoskey, Michigan.
James proudly served in the United States Air Force. Upon returning to Michigan, he worked for Michigan Maple Block Company, Dunstan Supply Company and Parker Motor Freight. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
James is survived by his wife, Janice Harvey of Charlevoix; daughter, Paula (David) Wager; grandchildren, Keisha Wager, Jennifer Armock, Brent Wager and Kristie Harrington; sister, Alice Harvey; brother, Otto (Barbara) Harvey; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Harington; brother, Tracy Harvey; and an infant twin brother, John Harvey.
A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Missionary Church on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00am with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, Michigan.
The Harvey family suggests memorial donations to Trinity Missionary Church in memory of James.
