| About Me | A 70 year old retired RN who has 3 rescued cats and loves to travel to see family and friends. look for new fabric and sightseeing new places. I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL then moved to Black Mountain when I was 10. I went to Memorial Mission Hospital for 3 yrs and passed my boards to become and RN. Then married and moved to Eastern NC. with first husband. Eventually divorced and remarried a Marine, Staff Sgt. Oscar Kenny. We went to Okinawa, Japan.3 years returned home to Camp Lejeune and have been here ever since. Oscar was from Germany prior to coming to live in Maine with his new family. He took me to Germany for my 50th birthday to meet some of his family still living there. Now I only lack traveling from Germany to Okinawa and I will a have traveled around the world once and if I could afford it I would love to go into outer space!! No walking in space though!!! Now getting back to earth, we plan to leave NC to live in Maine where we have property and his family. We would love to buy an RV to travel around the US and see new places as well as friends and family and make some new friends along the way. My Mom passed away at 101 going on 102 this year. I've had both knees replaced and a hip. Both shoulders need replacing but I am putting it off, have learned to sleep on my back and cut back on making big quilts. I was a nurse for over 40 years and God has been very good to me and I can't wait to see what He has in store for the rest of my life and beyond.
