Kenton M. Shoffner, 40, of rural Wabaunsee County, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at a Topeka hospital of gunshot wounds received 2 days earlier. His death was ruled a murder by the Wabaunsee County Sheriff's Department.
Kenton was born the son of Roy B. and Pearl A. (Horne) Shoffner. Mr. Shoffner graduated from Chapman High School in 1982. He later graduated from the Beloit Vo-Tech School. He was an electrician.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville. The funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Skyline Heights Christian Faith Center in Maple Hill. Burial was in the Keene Cemetery, south of Maple Hill.
