Brandon Zackey
Class of 2006
Brandon was the Tenor/Quad line section leader of the Chaparral Platinum Sound. He had the goal of making the exclusive, and very difficult to make, 12 time World Champion Blue Devils of Concord, CA drumline from the time he was 13, and worked extremely hard to make the corps. He acheived his goal in 2008, and in 2009, Brandon was made section leader of the Tenor/Quad line for the Blue Devils. His leadership helped the drumline to go on to be the first undefeated percussion section for any Drum Corps International corps in 35 years. The Blue Devils travelled 13,000 miles over 55 days with 2 days off, and went on to an undefeated season and to win the 2009 Drum Corps International World Championship title-their 13th!
