| About Me | I didn't know what I wanted to do right out of High School. So I did what Melea wanted to do I went to CGCC. Aftergoing there for a year and a half, I met my future ex-husband - Rocky Point Spring Break 1991. I was working as an Office Manager for a construction co. We got married 18 months later. I quit the construction co. and was working for an insurance broker up until 1997, after the birth of our first daughter, which was a life changing ordeal. She was born 2 1/2 months early and spent 2 months in the NICU in Phoenix. My soon to be ex wanted to become a police officer and got on with the State of NM, so I was 6 months pregnant with our second when he went to the academy. We moved to an armpit of a town, Las Vegas, New Mexico. He found greener pastures, so the girls and I moved back after 2 1/2 yrs. Melea and my parents were my rocks through that whole ordeal, they're the best! I started back to school in 2002 and received my degree in 2005.. it's tough working full time and raising two little ones.. thank goodness for understanding parents. I started working back at the Insurance co., got tired of the back stabbing women and was off to Hamilton High... worked there for 2 1/2 yrs, but high school students are idiots and now I'm working for a city government. Since I never got to travel anywhere out of the country, I decided to take two weeks and pamper myself with a trip to England and Ireland. I went by myself with nothing set in stone... it was AMAZING! I can't wait to take my girls there. I started ASU in 2007 and am sure it's going to take awhile to obtain my BS... but it's going to be worth it. So life has thrown me some curve balls, but I've been able...(read more) |
