| Favorite School Memory | The first day (official opening of CPHS). It was a fresh start as my experience with the other High School was not as nice. The football game was fun too. | About Me | I went to UWEC as an undergraduate and played football and track and field. I earned one letter in track and field. I played in one football game in my fourth year of playing, however, in that one game (we were up 59-0) I had two tackles for a loss and then a QB sack forcing a fumble that we recovered. We won the game 66-0 as the offense then scored. A week later, I tore my ACL and couldn't compete in Track and Field my senior year. I chose to go to graduate school at the University of Oregon. There, I met my wife, Karen, and received my MS in economics in 2000 and my Ph.D. in Economics in 2003. I then went to the University of Helsinki in Finland to work with Seppo Honkapohja as a postdoctoral research associate. I was in Finland for 13 months where I worked also for the bank of Finland for 8 months in 2004. In fall 2004, I moved with Professor Honkapohja to the University of Cambridge in the UK. I have been there ever since and enjoy it very much here. However, during this time, I have had 3 children. One was born in Helsinki (a boy - Brandon) and my girls were born in Cambridge (Hayley in 2006 and Abigail in 2007). I am now at Purdue University as a visiting assistant professor.
