Graduation Year Class of 1986
Date of Passing Nov 13, 2012
About On November 13, 2012, beloved local chiropractor Dr. Neal Sayers died in a tragic accident. On behalf of Dr. Sayers' staff and all of his patients, in honor of Father’s Day, we are writing this to not only acknowledge him as the wonderful father he was, but also to celebrate all he brought to the lives of the people who loved him. We still cannot describe the heartbreak we feel at his passing; we miss him – not just as an amazing doctor – but as a father, mentor, and dear friend.

“Doc” had the greatest sense of humor; the party didn't start until he walked in! He was obsessed with Lady Gaga's “On the Edge of Glory,” and his competitive nature wouldn't allow anyone else to win, even if it meant going 12 rounds of Wii boxing! And, if he had a trademarked sound effect, it would’ve been the incessant pen clicking.

But that was just his fun, slightly Type-A side, personality. Overall, he was selfless and humble –someone who exuded humility and grace. His ability to discern when something was wrong and offer insight was uncanny, and we all benefited from it. He was a man of God, who not only fulfilled his purpose as a doctor healing the body, but by allowing God to speak through him to heal souls.

Although he gave his love to everyone unconditionally, undeniably, his family was his heart. He was dedicated to providing for them in every way.

We honor you today and every day, Dr. Sayers, as our guiding influence. Not only did you raise three boys with an unshakable foundation, but you helped raise us as your daughters.

We are heartbroken and selfishly miss your presence, but we are humbled to see the manifestation of your positive impact on your staff, patients, family, friends, and community. We love you, miss you, bless you, bring honor to your name, and praise God for you, our beloved boss, father, and friend.?
