About	Shawn Patrick Liuzza passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the age of 43. Son of Michael J. Liuzza, Sr. and Alice Maynard Liuzza. Brother of Michael J. Liuzza, Jr. (Jone' Elam) and the late Daniel J. Liuzza. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and his cousins; Charles Costintino, Jeffrey Costintino, Lloyd Elam, Homer Elam and the late Rufus Elam. Uncle of Kate Liuzza and Avery Liuzza. Shawn was a 1989 graduate of Chalmette High School and was captain of the band, and power lifting team state finalists. He was a competitive body builder, winning numerous contests. He graduated from SLU, where he played rugby. Shawn loved animals, fishing and the outdoors. Shawn was also an avid astronomer. His teaching and coaching career included Pearl River High School, Mandeville Elementary, Plaquemines Elementary and Chalmette Middle School.
